Christmas

Ok so I'm just now posting some pictures from Christmas. We all had an awesome Christmas full of good food, and some great company. Its always nice to get a present or two but to me the whole point of Christmas is to be with the ones you love the most (and who are able to be there) and just enjoy each other. For me its more for the kids. With that being said Ruby had a great Christmas all her presents from daddy and mommy were art stuff. She is really in to coloring, painting and "drawing" so that's what she got. So now everyday she asks "mommy can I paint?" I don't have enough room on the fridge to properly display all her art work lol.

She also got a castle tent that she only lets daddy get in with her LOL it was totally awesome getting pictures of Ruby and daddy in her pink and purple tent. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas full of love and laughter.

Our Tree

Our naked treeWith just the clear lights
Clear and colored lights
All done with lights and ornaments
Our little Christmas elf sitting in front of the tree
On Monday Dec 5 Elvis came home for lunch and told Ruby to get her shoes on and lets go get our Christmas tree. She picked it out herself. No other tree would do for her but the one she picked. We got it home and let it open up a little bit then mommy and Ruby started to put the lights on. It took mommy a tad bit longer this year because she had to keep stopping to take a break, her tummy is bigger then it ever has been on Christmas hehehe. I think our finished product is awesome. Ruby loves the lights on, if they are off when she gets up she gets sad and says "what happened to the lights?"

My Baby is sick :(

Right after getting her IV put in
Still traumatized from that IV
Finally home and asleep in her bed feeling a little bit better
On Tuesday November 29 my baby woke up throwing up all over the place. It progressively got worse during the day to the point that we were running to the bathroom every 30 min so she could puke. She couldn't keep ANYTHING down. And then she started running a fever. That darn fever just kept creeping up and up. At about 5:30 pm it hit the 102 mark. I called her Dr because nothing was working to break it or even bring it down. They said to get her to the ER. So I told daddy that we had to go and off we went. We got there at 6:05 pm it was packed. We had to wait in the waiting room until almost 9 pm. Not much fun with a little girl who didn't feel so hot and was throwing up. And then mommy started throwing up, I'm pretty sure mine was from not getting the chance to eat much during the day.
We finally get a bed and the Dr comes in to see her. They told us they wanted to do a culture for strep throat and needed a urine sample (if she didn't pee in a cup they wanted to put in a catheter). I got her to pee in the cup which she fought me on, its just not what she has been trained to do lol, got her back to her bed. Then they had to hook her up to an IV. That has been the hardest thing I have had to watch somebody do to my baby ever. I felt so helpless to take away her pain. I knew it would help her but as a parent its not what you want to watch your baby go through. It turns out she did not have strep but she did have the start of an ear infection, the start of a UTI and the flu. They gave her some meds and sent us on our merry way. By the time we got home it was like night and day, she was jumping around and being crazy (at 12:30am) but she was feeling better. I got her in to bed and she finally fell asleep about 1:15 am then it was mommy's turn. It was such a long day.

28 Weeks

The week of Thanksgiving I hit my 28 week mark. I'm so very excited to have hit the 3rd trimester and now I'm in the home stretch. Soon we will get to hold our little boy in our arms. I had to get my Rhogam shot this week too. Since I'm RH- I get to get a shot in the tush at 28 weeks and then again after birth if the baby has a positive blood type. It happened with Ruby she got her daddy's blood type. Oh the things we go through to keep our kiddos healthy. This experience with getting the shot was so much worse then the last time I had it. The nurse actually hit my hip bone with the needle, when I told her that hurt her answer was "yeah I think I went to far." Ya think my hip was sore for a few days.
At this appointment I found out I had gained back 3 more of the 35 pounds that I lost in the beginning. That brought the grand total up to 15. I'm still -20 pounds, not that I'm complaining I was a chunky monkey before I got pregnant. I don't want to get the way again. I want to eat everything pumpkin.

27 Weeks

Well I'm 27 weeks along and getting bigger by the week LOL. Little boy is moving and grooving in my tummy. He is most active early in the morning or late at night. He loves to kick his sister's head when she dares to rest it on my tummy. Ruby loves to talk to her baby brother. I swear some of the conversations she has with him...hilarious. Most of the time they go something like this: "Hi baby brother. What are you doing baby brother? Swimming in mommy's tummy? Is that fun baby brother? I love you baby brother." I really do hope these two lovely monsters have a close relationship lol.
Not really craving much other then sweets. And since it is that time of year again anything pumpkin is my favorite right now. Pumpkin pie and pumpkin egg nog is yummy. Still no word on if I passed my glucose test from 11/4 or not, I'm hoping no news is good news but you never know with some Dr's. I also had my thyroid rechecked so you would think that I would get a phone call about that at least.
I will post a pic as soon as I get one taken :)

Holycow I'm 27 :-/

Ruby after helping me blow out my many candles
Let's not light the house on fire now
On Nov. 4 I turned the big 27 lol. I have a hard time believing that's how old I am because I still love to act like a kid. I still think I'm a kid...even though I have a child and one on the way HAHAHAHA. My day started off not so fun as I had to have my glucose test that morning. Talk about not fun lol that drink was GROSS. After my Dr.'s appointment I came home and snuggled with my little monster and I fell asleep. I got woken up to my baby girl saying "Happy Birthday Mommy I love you. I got you a pop tart." Best present EVER :) Only one thing could have made my day better.

Ruby being a BRAT!!

The last few days has been a struggle to get my child to eat. Now she has never been a good eater so to speak. She tends to graze, and that drives me NUTS. Tonight she was in excellent form...not. We all sat down to eat dinner, Ruby kept saying that it was yucky and wouldn't eat it. Her daddy and I both told her she needed to eat. Well 45 minutes later I took these pictures, her dinner un-touched except for 2 carrots o_O I would hardly call that a dinner. I have tried pretty much everything to get this girl to eat and not graze...nothing is working.

25 Weeks

We are 25 weeks along as of 11/1. I go to the dr for my glucose test on 11/4 I'm not looking forward to that one LOL.

After Trick-or-Treating

Trick-or-Treating

Papa Jerry and his little butterfly
Can you tell she's excited to go trick-or-treating
Trick-or-Treating with Papa and Uncle Fredy
Ringing the doorbell
Darn flash didn't work right lol
This year was Ruby's first real Trick-or-Treating encounter. I'm not sure she knew just what to think. She was a silent butterfly LOL she wouldn't talk for anything when we were at the doors, but get in the street to go to the next house and she was so talkative. At one point her Papa Jerry told her to put her bucket in front of her and say trick-or-treat, so what does she do at the next house? She puts her bucket down on the floor (in front of the door) and doesn't say a darn word. That's my Ruby, maybe next year taking her baby brother around will help her.

24 Weeks

Well we hit the 24 week mark on 10/25. My belly is deffinatly popping out a bit more then it was. It depends on what I wear, but little boy is making himself known. He is moving around alot these days, mostly at night when mommy is trying to go to sleep. But he does move around after I eat or drink. He finally kicked his daddy's hand this week. Daddy thought it was cool.
I'm really not craving much of anything except sweets. LOL.

Just like Daddy

Ruby has to be just like her daddy. She has to be doing what he is doing. So when he is working on his laptop, she says hold on just one minute and runs to get hers. Then she sits and pretends she is doing what he is doing. Its very cute. I cannot believe how much she is learning and growing in only a short time.

Memorial day fun

Ummm I dont think the slip'n'slide was long enough for John
Going down the kids toy hat and all

Elvis watching the "adults" go down the slip'n'slide
Ruby saying forget the slip'n'slide I'm playing in the pool where its calm!
For Memorial day we went over to dads house for a BBQ, where there was some fun water games. Ruby opted for the kids pool because the slip'n'slide was over run by her Uncle Robert and Uncle John.

Some Summer Fun

Hi mommy
This summer was so hot, mommy was not very happy. Being in the early stages of pregnancy not being able to keep anything down and the heat was a bad combination. But in the midst of all the yuckyness I found time to snap a few pics of Ruby and Elvis playing in the water.
